Details of Balgair Castle Park

Balgair Castle Park is a friendly family business, providing excellent accommodation, full services, a private club and lots of fun things to do in & around the Park including a wide range of evening entertainment for you to enjoy.

Here, on the banks of the River Endrick, Balgair Castle Park offers everything - from the bar and restaurant to safe play areas for children. In the safe play area children can enjoy climbing frames and swings or visit the pets corner to see the aviary and ducks. A coin-op laundrette is also available at the Park. The Park shop has the basics, plus fresh milk and bread rolls daily and is licensed for beer and wine. At Balgair Castle Park has resident staff round the clock so there's always help in an emergency.

After a day relaxing in our heated outdoor pool you may fancy coming along to one of our many entertainment nights. The licensed club house is for the exclusive use of you and our other guests. Enjoy a relaxing drink - or a delicious bar meal if you get tired of self-catering. There's also live entertainment here most weekends. Plus amusements, games room and pool table.

Throughout the season, professional entertainers perform in the Balgair Castle bar on most Saturday nights. You can also count on lots of special events to liven up the calendar, from race nights and bingo to egg painting competitions for the kids. The annual Halloween Party has become such a traditional that families often book that end-of-season weekend long in advance. And remember, this is your private club while you’re staying at Balgair Castle so it’s always a members only occasion.

There is a castle here, although there's not much left except a small ruin and a lot of local history. You can still see the 1730 keystone of Balgair Castle Park, reputedly built by one of the sons of the Clan Galbraith who occupied nearby Culcreuch Castle.

Interested in Fly fishing? Here at Balgair Castle Park, the Endrick Water is one of Scotland's best-stocked salmon (Grade A) and trout rivers. Alternatively you can also perfect your game on the Park's own putting green.
